On March 9 & 10, Tabla for Two performed a 2-night private concert. The Great Swan Nebula Concert was held at a gorgeous historic home in Washington, DC. The home was the former studio/home of artist William Morris. What a beautiful setting!

Tabla for Two had the honor of representing Afghanistan in celebrating International Mother Language Day 2016 at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Washington, DC (Feb. 21, 2016). Ten other countries were also represented.

The John Eaton Elementary School keeps the beat

Tabla for Two took part in the Embassy of Afghanistan’s Embassy Adoption Program at John Eaton Elementary School in Washington, D.C. This session focused on Afghan traditional music and dance. The fifth grade students were treated to a special performance of Afghan traditional music by Tabla for Two, as well as a presentation and video demonstration of different styles of traditional Afghan dance.
