Young Elena has an other-worldly connection to Tabla for Two’s music. She has performed Russian folk dance at the Washington Folk Festival.

Both Sofya and Elena are studying Eastern classical movement with Masood. This will be their debut performance with Table for Two.

Tabla for Two at DCAC

2019-01-07T20:27:28+00:00September 6th, 2014|Performances|

Last night Tabla for Two performed at DCAC to a sold out show. It was very exciting! With our dramatic 8 foot by 8 foot backdrop of the Tabla Sailing in the Nebula our instruments appeared to flow from the stage into deep space. The music absolutely matched the heavenly surroundings. It was far out!

We received a standing ovation and we are looking forward to performing there again soon.

Robin Williams understood music

2019-01-07T20:27:28+00:00August 23rd, 2014|Miscellaneous|

You know what music is?

God’s little reminder that
there’s something else
besides us in this universe;
harmonic connection
between all living beings,
everywhere, even the stars.

— Robin Williams, August Rush (2007)
