Tabla for Two on Voice of America Pashto Ashna TV

2019-01-07T20:27:22+00:00June 18th, 2018|News, Video|

We were deeply honored to be featured on Voice of America Pashto Ashna TV. We were interviewed by Breshna Omarkhel. In this video they are talking about a Western woman, Abigail Greenway, who has learned to play Afghan music through serious study with her ousted, Masood Omari, who is from Ghazny, Afghanistan and now living in Washington DC. Masood is unique in that he sings and plays tabla at the same time. Together Tabla for Two is working very hard to preserve the traditional music of Afghanistan.

We are playing for peace. The interview appeared on the third day of Eid which was a wonderful gift.
